Why study Celtic Myth?

These courses are meant to challenge you, inspire you, and put you in touch with the most important sources of Celtic myth. These courses aren’t just about studying old texts either (although that is where we often begin), they’re also about engaging with some of the oldest forms of traditional knowledge to have survived in Europe.

I suggest new students begin with the free Taliesin Origins video course, just to see if you like this kind of stuff. You can sign up here.

Once you’ve completed Taliesin Origins and you would like to go further, then please see the courses listed below. (HINT: if you follow the Taliesin Origins course first, you get a discount for the course below 😉

The Magic of Meaning Part 1

The Magic of Meaning Part 1 is an in-depth exploration of The Four Branches of the Mabinogi, you can find out more about how to take part here.

Once you have completed this course, you can apply for Part 2, called The Unnamed Queen.

Celtic Source Season 2

As well as the two courses mentioned above, I also run a series called Celtic Source which looks at early Celtic culture in general. From the earliest known Celtic speakers to the medieval nations of Éire, Alba, Mannin, Cymru, Kernow, and Breizh.

The course uses the latest research in archaeology and literature to explore some of Europe’s oldest cultures. The next season begins in the autumn of 2020, please get in touch for details.
